Casa Novo Guest House CENTRO HABANA

Casa Novo CENTRO HABANA is located in the very center of Havana, 4-5 minutes walking from the Malecón, 5 from Chinatown, 10-15 from Old Havana and 20-30 minutes from Vedado and the University. It is very close to the Casa de la Música and next (20 meters) to the La Guarida restaurant. The house was built in 1900, with Spanish construction of the time. The house occupies the upper floor and the roof of the building and still maintains original doors, floors and ceilings. The host family has lived in the house since 1934. The large living room is striking, with a bright balcony that fills the room with natural light. The furniture is period, almost all of it in mahogany and is still in use (beds, chairs, tables, armchairs ...). The house has several balconies (one of them overlooking the street) and a roof terrace (semi-covered) with a hammock and sun loungers.

In the lounge there are several areas (such as Charles Chaplin's) and a library with more than 1,000 books (in several languages) that the hosts will allow you to read.
The owners of Casa Novo CENTRO HABANA are already retired. He was a general surgeon and she was a TV journalist. They both love music, reading and television. And, of course, chat over a good Cuban coffee (short, solo and strong). They both speak English and you can count on them for a wealth of information about the city, places to visit, and tips to avoid street hoaxes.
No meals are provided in the house, but you can have a good continental breakfast (coffee or tea, milk, fruit juice, eggs or omelette, bread, butter and jam, pasta, fruit salad or tropical fruit).
